INNISFREE GARDEN
Just outside the village of Millbrook. It is considered one of the top ten gardens in the world and only a short drive from the Castle! Open seasonally, be sure to check their website before planning a visit.
ORVIS SANDANONA
The oldest permitted shotgun shooting club in the country with modern sporting-clays shooting grounds. A short drive from the Castle, right here in Millbrook.

TREVOR ZOO
Established in 1936 at the Millbrook School, the Trevor Zoo houses more than 180 exotic and indigenous animals. Open to the public 365 days a year!
DOVER STONE CHURCH
The "Stone Church" is an ancient cavern in Dover Plains that was used by the Pequot Indians as refuge while fleeing from the English army back in the 1600's. A 15 minute drive from the Castle, the Stone Church is a great nature trail hike rich with Hudson Valley history.
HARLEM VALLEY RAIL TRAIL
Bicycle or walking path from Amenia to Millerton following the old railroad berm. Also another rail trail in our neighboring city of Poughkeepsie.

Tour the Grand Estates along the Hudson River including Mills Mansion, the FDR estate, the Vanderbilt Estate, Val-Kill, Wilderstein, and Olana. All within easy driving distances from the Castle.
